Max/Comp Cape Calc IP Banned… Again.

Hey guys,

Just a heads up that it would appear that my site has been IP banned again. It did come back for a few minutes earlier, but came back down after just a few minutes.

I am redirecting all traffic to the front page so that no requests are sent to Jagex’s servers. Hopefully this time it’s temporary.

I’ll have more news later, thank you for your patience.

I added ad’s to the front page (adding them slowly) of my site. I feel pretty bad about doing it (I hate ads), but I really do need to do it.

If you want to block them, go right ahead, although I’d really appreciate if you didn’t <3

Regarding my financial status

Hello,

Due to my financial circumstances, I will be unable to continue at the rate I am currently going, and have decided that it is time to (temporarily) cancel my RuneScape membership.

This is a pretty big decision for me and didn’t come easily (however you may have noticed I haven’t been on much lately), and I’ve waited as long as I could, but I simply cannot afford to continue playing with where I am currently. I wanted to wait until after Divinity was released, but I simply cannot.

I am not quitting, and I will certainly still be on Tumblr/Twitter/Developing my site, but I will be taking an indefinite break from actually playing. Related to my site, I will be putting up ads in the near future to help out. Again, not an easy decision, but at this point I’m not left with many choices.

Please don’t see this as a call for pity. I do not want anyone to think that I’m trying to grab for money/donations, because I’m not.

I’m glad I have all of you as friends, and thank you for providing me with some of the better times in recent memory. Without you, I would have never gotten as far with my site or account, never met the girl that I love, and would never have made so many wonderful friends.

I’m thinking about getting the max/comp cape calc its own domain. I feel as if it’s evolved from a personal pet project into an actual full blown “product”. I mean, it just went over 800 users, and it’s coming up on 100,000 searches (~5k away)!

I also want to give it a better name, and a domain name would help bring that to the forefront. Anyone have any suggestions?

People who haven&#8217;t completed the Nexus task are able to use the taskmaster emote, where people who have cannot. This is because the game still thinks there are 572 tasks, when there are really 573. So when the amount of tasks you have completed is equal to 572, you can use the taskmaster emote. But when it&#8217;s greater then 572, you cannot. This means they used == (equal to) instead of &gt;= (greater then or equal to). With this kind of thing you should always use &gt;= so that this kind of glitch can&#8217;t happen.

Do you have any certifications, like any CompTIA certs?

I don’t have an certifications, but I’ll probably look into getting some. I’m an entirely self-taught programmer when it comes to web programming, with guidance from a few friends.

I’m currently studying “programming” in school right now, which covers a wide spectrum of programming languages. I’d like to eventually specialize in SQL, as the whole concepts of databases, efficiently storing data, and using that data to make decisions is a vastly intriguing subject for me.

I also really enjoy using PHP, a back-end web programming language, but I’m not sure if I want to program in it for a living.

I’m not really much of an artistic person, and I know I especially don’t want to work in front-end development. If you look at most of my UI’s, you’ll see I’m pretty bad at it.
